Where are you located?

We are located in SW Calgary, Alberta in the Cougar Ridge area.

How much are your cakes?

Because all of our cakes are priced individually by the complexity of their design, we do not have a standard price list. Cake prices start at $75.00 and go up from there.

How far ahead do I need to book my cake?

Six to eight months in advance is the normal time for a wedding cakes and two months for birthday cakes.

How do I order a cake?

To start the order process, please fill out and send the easy to us Contact Us form or send an email to info@simplysweetltd.com containing all the following information:

the date of your event
the occasion/nature of your event (wedding, birthday, etc)
the event location, delivery address, and delivery time
how many people you will need to serve
your daytime phone number
your email address
six flavours from our flavour list you would like to sample
an idea of what kind of cake design you are looking for

A representative from Simply Sweet will contact you to discuss your order and/or schedule an appointment.

Our bakery is open by appointment only, we do not have any cakes pre-made for sale. Every cake we make is custom made to order from start to finish.

Do you deliver?

Delivery is available for wedding cakes and cakes that require on-site assembly. Delivery fees are calculated by distance travelled and usually range from $60.00-$75.00 within the Calgary city limits.

While it is generally not a problem for clients to transport smaller cakes, self-transporting any cake is at your own risk. Simply Sweet Ltd. does not recommend clients self-transport large 3D/sculptural cakes, cakes over 2 tiers tall or any cake more than 4 hours. Simply Sweet is not responsible for any damage that may occur to any client-transported cake once it has left our bakery.

I have dietary restrictions. Can you help?

We do offer a selection of gluten free cakes but these orders must be placed in advance to avoid any cross contamination. Please feel free to contact us for other dietary requests and we will do our best to answer your questions.

Do your cakes contain nuts?

Since our opening we have introduced nuts into our bakery so we are unable to guarantee your products will be nut free.

What's your payment policy?

A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your date; the remainder is due at least two weeks prior to your event. Your order is not confirmed until we have received your signed contract and 50% non-refundable deposit.

Payment can be made by cash, check or credit card. Cake orders placed with less than two weeks notice require payment in full by credit card at the time of ordering. Deposits are non-refundable.

If you cancel your order, your balance payment is refundable provided Simply Sweet Ltd. is notified at least five (5) business days prior to the event. There is no payment refund on orders cancelled within five (5) business days of the event.

Event dates are held for you through the date of your appointment or quote, and seven (7) business days afterwards. If we do not receive a signed contract and 50% deposit within seven (7) business days of your appointment or quote, your date may become unavailable.

We had Krista make our daughter's birthday cake. It was a gluten free, Strawberry Shortcake cake (the 80's one, since in my honest opinion she is cooler than the new one lol). It was awesome. Even people (like my Mom) who don't like cake really liked it; it wasn't as sweet as a lot of cakes are.

The theme was a cooking party and she made a deep dish pizza cake and I also got the cupcake package for the kids to decorate. She made them look like ice cream sundaes. The kids and everyone loved them!!! They were really yummy. It came with the white icing then the kids decorated them with the "chocolate and strawberry sauce" the sprinkles and the cherry on top!

We had Krista do a Transformer birthday cake for my son's 3rd bday on Saturday and it was AMAZING. Not only were the kids completely WOWED by the cake, it tasted fabulous too, I've never tasted buttercream like that before, YUMMO!!!!!! Krista made our wedding cake for us a couple weeks ago. It was absolutely GORGEOUS and everyone loved it! Funnily enough....I had one couple come up to me and ask who had made my cake, as they said it tasted just like theirs (they got married on Sat). Apparently they used Krista as well, after shopping around a lot, and hers were definitely the best tasting!
